Kitesurfing Equipment

At Easyriders, we believe the best tuition can only be complete when delivered with the very latest and best equipment… Already in the school is the very latest 2008 equipment from...

Below is an up-to-date listof the equipment you'll be taught on through the summer and into the Autumn

North EVO 2008

North relaesed the Evo at the beginning of 08 as a replacement for the toro and buster. Having been using Toro's and busters for years this was going to have an uphill battle to convince me to change all the kites over,....but i have. The Evo is our mainstay teaching kite, and the first choice for countless of our loyal customers, (Robin, James, Andrew...and more) It simply does what it says on the tin and does it well. With the new mini 5 line bar it is clean simple rigging, its easy to tune, it flies in a really wide range of winds and is easy to relaunch.

We have taught from the first LEI experience right up to Miles Rockin out at Durley on the 5m in Head high down the line waves. This kite is a great first buy with loads of fureproof Potential.

North Rebel 2008
The 2009 Rebel is bashing down the barriers of free-riding and surfing! The clean, simple 5 line design delivers smooth, reactive steering, extreme resistance to back-stalling when over-sheeted and the most direct bar feedback yet. The quad strut configuration produces a light weight kite with quick turning and a snappy feel which makes the bigger sizes feel more crispy and lively than ever! The Rebel is heavily reinforced with Dacron to take some severe thrashings in the surf and come out in one piece. One pump inflation for added simplicity rigging it is a great feature.

Once again this can be used from the very start right the way through to hardcore waves/freestyle. I used my new nine in Mauritius in August, in the morning i was teaching some boardstarts, and the afternoon i rode the outer reef at Manawa....all on the same kite!!

Naish Helix & Cult

The 2008 Naish Helix defines the natural evolution of using technologies to adapt to the large depower range required in modern kites. If you are looking for the one kite to work in the widest range of conditions for all styles of riding, look no further than the 2008 Helix. The 2008 Helix emerges as the choice for intermediate through advanced kiters seeking the highest performance ride that excels equally in all areas.

The cult i love and is the super smooth safe bet for all round riding. It comes in a great package at the minute for £899 with the haze board and is a super set up. We have had loads of you saying you want to specifically use these on board start days.....Bethan learnt and completed her first 300m run in two days on the 9m in August.

Takoon 'Chas & Dave'

These boards are designed as entry level boards, there huge....and there awesome for getting up and going the first time, we have had some hilarious antics on these, with three people on at once last week. They're probably not the thing to buy yourself, but make that first board ride sooooo much easier when learning the technique.

North X Ride

The X Ride is a fantastic allround board. Its round outline and Flex Tips combined with very thin rails provide very good control even in gusty winds. Its a great all rounder which gets going early in the light winds, but also rips when the winds up. Karston is now flying along on his new one with the rebel 09 having traded in the kitchen door, he's going faster, pointing higher and in more control. We have just got the new 09 one in to try.!!

Best Waroo

You can't talk kit without mentioning the faithful best waroo, i just can't fault this kite, now in its third season it is super stable, bulletproof.....belive me we've tried! And it has a great wind range. The package price is unbeatable and its the perfect budget entry pack. The spark board has undergone a real makeover now too, the new white 08 versions are stiffer with better straps, pads and fins, making it a proper contender on the board shelf and great value at £299 too.
